In August 2010, during his acceptance speech for winning the Emmys for the first time, he thanked his mother, followed by a list of names, including Todd Spiewak.

In November 2018, Parsons shared a selfie after meeting his partner around fourteen years ago. He claimed that meeting him was the best thing that ever happened to him.

After years of marriage questions and speculations, Spiewak and Parsons finally took their relationship to the next level. They got married on 13th May 2017, at Rainbow Room in New York. They now enjoy four years long marital life.
