Susan Jean Silver is an American music manager. She is prominent for managing Seattle Rock bands, notably Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and Screaming Trees.

Silver is 62 years old. She was born on July 17, 1958, in Seattle, Washington, USA, to Samuel Silver and Emmogene Jean Silver. Her height is 5 ft and 7 in (1.7 m) tall.

The oldest of three children, Susan grew up in Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington with a major in Chinese.

Along with music manager Kelly Curtis, Susan started managing Alice In Chains in 1988. When Curtis went on to manage the band Pearl Jam, the 62-year-old  became the sole manager of Alice in Chains.

Silver launched Seattle-based management and consulting company called Atmosphere Artist Management with Deborah Semer in 2005. Their first client was Children of the Revolution. She has also been co-managing Alice in Chains since 2009. Meanwhile, her ex-husband, Chris Cornell, had a net worth of $40 million at the time of his death.

Cornell and Silver first met in 1985. After dating for five years, the two tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on September 22, 1990.

They kept their family life private, with their marriage seldom discussed in public compared to their professional life. 

Following her retirement, Cornell and Silver welcomed their first child, a daughter, Lillian Jean Cornell-Silver on June 28, 2000. Both ended their marriage in 2004.
