American journalist Satcha Pretto was born under the name of Satcha Pretto Padilla on April 5, 1980, in La Paz, Honduras under the star sign of Aries. She holds Honduran nationality and belongs to White ethnicity. Satcha is the daughter of Honduran Liz Padilla and Panamanian Rolando Pretto. Also, Satcha was raised in La Paz by her parents along with her brother Rolando. However, at the age of 16, her father died from a dangerous heart attack in 1996. 

Apart from that, Satcha used to spend every weekend at her grandparent's house where her entire family used to watch soccer matches. Also due to her most of the childhood in Honduras, she can speak both English and Spanish fluently.

Regarding her education, she attended Macris High School and later in 1998 she moved to San Angelo, Texas where she applied at the 'Angelo State University', and graduated with Bachelor's degree in Communications in 2001.

Stacha officially started her career as a radio broadcaster for 'Radio Suprema' in Tegucigalpa, Honduras while she was still a student in high school in 1997. Later after she graduated in 2001, Satcha professionally started her career as a media correspondent in 'KTLE Telemundo' television channel in Odessa, Texas. Soon, after that, she was offered to be part of 'El Noticiero', a mostly acclaimed program by the ' National Association of Hispanic Journalists'.

Further, in 2003, she was hired by the KUVN channel in Dallas as a co-anchor for their Spanish dialect news broadcast 'Cinco en Punto'. Furthermore, during her time in KUVN, she was the highlight on the CNN channel as a reporter to cover 'Anderson Cooper 360' and 'Paula Zahn Now'.

Besides in 2006, she came to limelight for her interview with the famous Chilean author Isabel Allende. Afterward, in 2007 Satcha served as the host for the Univision's broadcast of 'Tournament of Roses Parade'.
