Michael Louis Chernus is an American actor who is best known for his role as Cal Chapman on the Netflix original comedy-drama series Orange Is the New Black and Phineas Mason / Tinkerer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Chernus is currently 43 years old. He was born on August 8, 1977, in Rocky River, Ohio, USA, to Richard Louis Chernus and Barbara Jo. His father is of Hungarian and German ancestry.

Recently, Michael starred as Ken Rosey in CBS's police procedural crime drama series, Tommy.

Chernus is married to his long-time girlfriend, Emily Simoness. The two tied the knot in a rustic ceremony at Ryder Farm, the upstate New York property, on September 26, 2015. 

Chernus and Simoness got married on the two-year anniversary of their first date. They had gone on their first date just a few days after they first met back in 2013.

He had invited her out for “a coffee or a smoothie—I had been living for L.A.! I told him, let’s get dinner,” Emily mentioned in an interview with American Theatre. As of now, the couple has no children.
