Saunders has been married to Bernard Sandler since January 21, 1961. Her husband, now retired, served as an owner and agent of Commercial Talent Agency.

The couple has two children: Ronald Sandler and Stacy Sandler. Their daughter Stacy works in the camera and electrical department of the movie and film industry.  

They are also grandparents to two lovely granddaughters, Amanda and Jaclyn Marie. Lori and Bernard now live a peaceful life in Southern California with their family.

A total vegetarian and an outdoor person, Saunders spends her day growing fruits and vegetables in her home garden and focusing on her true passion: photography, art sculpture, and oil painting.
