Joshua Thomas Radnor is an American actor, filmmaker, author, and musician who is best known for playing the role of Ted Mosby in the Emmy-winning sitcom How I Met Your Mother.

Columbus, Ohio, USA, to a Jewish family. His mother, Carol Radnor Hirsch, a high school guidance counselor, and his father, Alan Radnor, a medical malpractice lawyer, raised him in Conservative Judaism.
