North comes from a military family; his father served in the Queen's Lancashire Regiment from 1982 to 2006, and his brother Ryan North, served in 2 PARA.
The 30-year-old spent his early years in Burnley, Lancashire. He attended St James' Lanehead Primary School before moving to the Preston area at the age of 11.
North then studied at Penwortham Priory Academy and Preston's College. He received his B. A. in Media Production from the University of Sunderland in 2011.

North worked as a researcher and producer at BBC Radio 5 Live along with presenting shows on Capital North East and Capital Manchester. Following this, he spent 18 months working part-time at Rock FM, leaving the BBC after being appointed as the Lancashire station's drivetime presenter in 2014.
The 30-year-old appeared as a freelance cover presenter in a number of BBC Radio 1 shows since then, before taking on the role of the host for the station's Greatest Hits show on Sunday mornings. He now serves as a weekend host on BBC Radio 1 and a main cover presenter for Radio 1's "supply teacher".

"I am single at the moment. But that is not the reason why I am going in.. I just want to have fun and this is something that will stick with you forever," he told Radio Times.
Jordan has kept his love life under wraps and not much is known about his past relationships or girlfriend. You can follow him on Instagram at @jordannorth1 to know more about his personal life.
