Joel Edward McHale is an American actor, comedian, producer, writer, and television host. He is best known for his role as Jeff Winger on the NBC sitcom Community and as the host of E!'s The Soup.

Together, they have two children: sons Edward Roy McHale, born in 2005, and Isaac McHale, born on March 12, 2008. Their first son, Edward, was born with two big holes in his heart and underwent open-heart surgery when he was just 2 months old.  

Joel and his wife currently reside in Hollywood Hills with their two kids. The couple purchased a house in the Los Feliz neighborhood in Los Angeles, California for $1.88 million in 2007. 

They sold the house for $2.55 million in September 2016 after initially asking $2.4 million in August. Joel and Sarah also purchased a modest house in Sammamish, Washington for $500,000 in 2009 and a gated mansion in Studio City, California, for $5.15 million in October 2014.
