Janet Layug was born on 29 December 1988, in Lakeland, Florida of the USA. She is of American nationality.
Her father is from Filipino descent whereas her mother, Nadine Podgurski is Polish. They both served in the US Navy. Janet has two older sisters and a younger brother, Oscar Layug.
After finishing her elementary and high school, she graduated from the University of Florida. While in college, the gorgeous model also worked in a retail store.
She is also a registered nurse who worked at the Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center in the Intensive Care Unit before settling into bodybuilding.
Janet Layug was a waitress at Hooters for seven years before she focused on bodybuilding. While working, she participated in the International Swimsuit Competition several times and was crowned Miss Hooters International in 2014.
