Fran Drescher

Francine Joy Drescher is an American actress, comedian, writer, and activist who is best known for her role as Fran Fine in the hit series The Nanny.

Drescher is currently 63 years old. She was born on September 30, 1957, in Flushing, Queens, New York City, New York, USA, to Sylvia Drescher, a bridal consultant, and Morty Drescher, a naval systems analyst.

Talking about her height, she is  5 ft and 4½ in (1.64 m) tall. The youngest of two children, she has an older sister, Nadine Drescher. Her family is from Southeast and Central Europe; her maternal great-grandmother was born in Focșani, Romania while her father's family came from Poland. 

The 63-year-old spent her early years in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens. She attended Flushing's Parsons Junior High School and then Hillcrest High School in Jamaica, Queens, graduating in 1975. Drescher attended Queens College, City University of New York, but dropped out in the first year and enrolled in cosmetology school.

Drescher has been married twice. She met her first husband, Peter Marc Jacobson while studying at the Hillcrest High School in Jamaica, Queens. 

They tied the knot on November 4, 1978. Both even attended Queens College, City University of New York, but dropped out in their first year. Fran and Peter separated in 1996 and their divorce was finalized on December 15, 1999. They had no children. 

The 63-year-old married her second husband, Shiva Ayyadurai, an American-Indian scientist, at their beachfront home in an intimate ceremony on September 6, 2014. The two first met in 2013 at an event hosted by health guru Deepak Chopra. Drescher and Ayyadurai split in 2016 after staying together for two years.
