Charles McCord is an American former news anchor and radio personality. He is best known for his over three-decade-long association with Imus in the Morning.

He then worked at WFAA in Dallas, Texas, WWDC and WTOP in Washington, D.C. As a novice newsman at WNBC in New York City, Charles was appointed to work on Imus in the Morning for newcomer Don Imus of WGAR in Cleveland.

The 78-year-old soon became the show's newscaster and writer and moved to NBC's News and Information Service a few years later. He rejoined Imus in 1979 and went on to sign a contract with WNBC's news department and programming department.

Even after Imus's departure, Charles continued his work as a news anchor at WFAN for several months. He then spent three decades at 660 kHz frequency in New York, leaving WFAN after the contract between Imus and WFAN was settled in August.

McCord rejoined Imus in the Morning when the show was renewed for WABC on December 3, 2007. His responsibilities in the program included news reporting and writing comedy and questions to be asked by Imus on guest arrival. The 78-year-old announced his retirement in April 2011.
