Bunker Spreckels was an American surfer and furthermore known as the originator of Bunker board which is presently developed into fish style board. Spreckels is additionally broadly known for the legacy of the multi-million dollar enterprise.

Bunker Spreckels born as Adolph Bernard Spreckels III and was born on August 15, 1949, at Los Angeles County, California, U.S and died on January 7, 1977, Honolulu, Hawaii at the age of 27.

His mother was Kay Spreckels (Kathleen Williams) former fashion model, and a famous actress and his father were Adolf Bernard Spreckels, but later her mother married to a Hollywood legend actor Clark Gable(Kay Spreckels was Clark Gable's fifth wife)and became Gable's stepson.

Bunker is also a grandson of Claus Spreckels (founder of a multi-million sugar enterprise) who came to the United States from Germany as Claus Von Spreckelson. He had three siblings John Clark Gable(stepbrother), Joan Spreckels and one sister whose name isn't known.

Bunker had stunning body and height and used to surf at North Shore. At 70's he was riding a board which became known as Bunker board and now known fish board style.

Bunker had a girlfriend named Ellie who was Miss Teen California at the time. Both couples were dating each other for a long time. They also used to kill time cruising around in her trophy car. Since the famous surfer died at the age of twenty-seven he did not have any married relationship.

Family Connection and Net Worth History

When Bunker's grandfather Claus Spreckels came to the United States, his grandpa was the friend of David Kalalaua, the last administering ruler of Hawaii.

King David possessed massive obligations to loads of individuals in Hawaii, and Claus paid the obligations of King David, and consequently, he was given land in which he did the sugar estate. From which the Spreckels made a fortune of $25 million.

Since his family was connected with Hawaiian, he was taught the culture of Hawaiian's by many of the old kahunas, and they believed Bunker as a reincarnated Hawaiian prince and taught him an early age, the ways of Pacific island life. Bunker was also starting his documentary movie named Bunker77 about himself and Lucifer Rising project with director Kenneth Anger, but unfortunately, Bunker died, and neither of the film was completed.

He was inherited with $50 million of the family fortune on his 21st birthday. And immediately after that, he established branch offices around the world. Hotel George V in Paris, Hotel Edward in South Africa, Yacht Harbor Towers in Honolulu, Kuilima Estates in Kahuku and Sunset Tower in Hollywood.

Death of a Rising Star

With a million-dollar fortune, it gave him a lot of freedom to do things he had not done before. And he started abusing drugs which eventually led him to his death on January 1977 at the age of 27, at his friend's house and the cause of his death was the use of morphine overdose.

He was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale,California.
