Alan Arkin

Born and Raised In New York City

Alan Arkin was born as an Alan Wolf Arkin on March 26, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York City under the birth sign Aries. He is the son of David I. Arkin(painter, writer, and lyricist of considerable repute) and Beatrice(teacher).

Since the age of 10 he started taking acting lessons and after a year he was shifted to Los Angeles. In LA, he was admitted to Franklin High School.

For his study in drama, he joined Los Angeles City College from 1951 to 1953. For his further graduation joined Bennington College in Vermont and completed his degree in 1954.

Married Thrice; Father of Three

The 87-years-old, Alan Arkin is currently in a dating relationship with Suzanne Newlander(psychotherapist). They shared the wedding vows in 1996 and have been together since. As of now, they reside in Carlsbad, California.

Prior to this, he faced two unsuccessful marriages. Firstly he got married to Jeremy Yaffe from 1995 to 1961. together they have shared two kids: Adam Arkin(b. August 19, 1956) and  Matthew Arkin(b. March 21, 1960). 

In 1964, he got married to actress-screenwriter, Barbara Dana. However, after 30 years of marriage, they took divorce in 1994. Together they a son, Anthony (Tony) Dana Arkin in 1967.
