AJ Pritchard

Alex Joseph Pritchard, professionally known as AJ Pritchard, is a British choreographer, dancer, and television personality. He is best known for his work in Britain's Got Talent and BBC One dance series Strictly Come Dancing.

Pritchard is currently 26 years old. He was born on November 5, 1994, in Sneyd Green, Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom, to Debi Pritchard and Adrian Pritchard. 

Talking about his height, AJ is  5 ft and 7½ in (1.71 m) tall. The 26-year-old has a younger brother, Curtis Pritchard, who is also a dancer and choreographer. 

Curtis is prominent for his appearance on the Irish version of Dancing with the Stars and British dating reality series Love Island. Both siblings appeared as guest choreographers on the BBC Three's RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2019.

AJ started dancing with his partner from a dance school, Chloe Hewitt, at the age of 12. Both have since represented Britain in a number of dance competitions around the world. 

They won the National Youth Latin Championships for three consecutive years and became the British Open Youth Latin Champions and the European Youth Latin Champions in 2015.

In 2013, Pritchard and Hewitt auditioned for Britain's Got Talent and eventually reached the semi-finals. Three years later, he appeared in the fourteenth series of BBC dance show, Strictly Come Dancing, partnered with artistic gymnast Claudia Fragapane. 

Claudia and AJ finished in 4th place, with Pritchard receiving praise for his choreography. He then partnered with singer-songwriter, Mollie King and returned to the show for his second series, finishing in 5th place. 

As per some online sources, dancers earn $40,000 a year, with professionals receiving a yearly salary of around $46,000. After appearing in Strictly Come Dancing for three years, from 2016 to 2020, AJ announced that he was leaving the show to focus on a career in presenting.

Pritchard is currently one of the contestants of the twentieth series of ITV's reality show, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! For his appearance in the show, AJ reportedly earns a salary of $66,000, $264,000 less than I'm a Celebrity's Vernon Kay and $100,000 less than Beverley Callard.

Pritchard is currently dating dancer Abbie Quinnen. Abbie, 23, is also a model and ambassador for various brands on Instagram, repped by Apollo Artist Management.

AJ first met his girlfriend Abbie when she worked as a dancer on his tour, Get on the Floor. They officially confirmed their relationship in May 2018.  

The 26-year-old was previously linked with his Strictly Come Dancing partner, Saffron Barker, after both were paired up together in 2019.

However, Pritchard later mentioned that such speculation doesn’t concern him, stating, “When it comes to that sort of thing it doesn’t really bother me because I know who I am, so does Abbie."
