Babatunde Adetomiwa Stafford "Tomiwa" Edun is a Nigerian actor who is best known for his roles as Marcus Young in Bates Motel and Sir Elyan in the television show Merlin.
Edun is currently 37 years old. He was born in 1984, in Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria, to parents Olawale Edun, a Nigerian financier, and Amy Adwoa Appiah, a half-Ghanaian and half-English. Talking about his height, he is 5 ft and 9½ in (1.77 m) tall.
Adetomiwa's maternal grandfather, Nana Joe Appiah, was a Ghanaian lawyer, politician, and statesman. And, his maternal grandmother, Enid Margaret "Peggy" Cripps, was a British children's author, philanthropist, and socialite. Moreover, Edun's maternal uncle, Kwame Anthony Appiah, is a philosopher, cultural theorist, and novelist.
Edun moved to the United Kingdom with his family at the age of 11 and attended Eton College from the age of 13. He then studied Classics at Christ's College, Cambridge, a constituent college of the University of Cambridge.
During the final year of his college, Adetomiwa won the dissertation prize for his thesis on Homer's Odyssey. He went to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) despite initially planning to study for a Master of Philosophy degree. Edun graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting from RADA in 2008.
